SUMMARY:Webinar: Healthy Building Design
DESCRIPTION:Presentation Description: \nThis webinar will focus on some design challenges designers will face when specifying interior floor and wall finishes in post-pandemic spaces. The presenter will explore how buildings impact the people inside them by reviewing factors in the built environment that influence human health and well-being. Research done by leading academic organizations with regards to the source and behavior of microbes\, bacteria\, and viruses will be reviewed. Special attention will be directed to the role different types of surfaces play in infection control and what makes some floors and walls more hygienic than others.
