DESCRIPTION:Presentation Description: \nJoin CIDQ’s Director of Engagement\, Kimberly Woods\, and President of CIDQ Board of Directors\, Aandra Currie Shearer for an information session on the NCIDQ Exam! This one hour session will cover everything students of Canadian interior design programs need to know about the NCIDQ Exam\, the importance of being certified\, and recent updates for the spring 2021 exam administration. Bring your questions to the session or submit them ahead of time to kwoods@cidq.org. \nREGISTER NOW\nPresenters:  \nKimberly Woods \nDirector of Engagement \nCIDQ \nwww.cidq.org/ \nPresenter bio:  \nAfter previously serving as Data and Program Manager at CIDQ\, Kimberly has rejoined the organization in a new role as Director of Engagement. In this position\, she will work on outreach and engagement with a number of stakeholders\, including students\, educators\, member boards\, and association chapters\, among others. In addition\, Kimberly will resume support of the volunteer Ambassadors program\, as well as providing support for CIDQ’s Board of Directors\, CEO\, and other office staff. \nPrior to working for CIDQ\, Kimberly worked for an energy consulting company in Ohio. Kimberly received her Master of Arts in Teaching from Loyola University Maryland\, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Global Studies from the University of Toledo. \nAandra Currie Shearer \nPresident\, CIDQ Board of Directors \nCIDQ \nwww.cidq.org/ \nPresenter bio: \nA Saskatoon native\, Aandra nurtured her interest in design first through studies in fine arts and then interior design at the University of Manitoba. In Vancouver\, she has led multi-family residential and financial sector work as well as telecommuted as senior designer for a Saskatoon-based architectural firm. Much of her experience has been with mid-to-large size multi-departmental organizations. \nIn 2015 Aandra realized her goal of moving away from the large architectural firm environment to pursue work that truly inspires her. A passionate advocate for the profession of interior design at many levels\, Aandra has served on the provincial board of Saskatchewan (IDAS)\, and has held board positions with the Interior Designers of Canada since 2010. In 2016 Aandra served as President of the Interior Design Continuing Education Council. She has moderated and sat on various panels in Vancouver\, Toronto\, and Italy\, and judged products\, and hosted awards at IIDEX Canada. She is a Past President of IDC. She also devotes time to her local judo and track and field clubs. \nAandra is an effective strategist\, leader\, and decision maker. She is both humbled and energized by her work with design community leaders in North America. \n  \nThis webinar will be offered in English.
